Hello all, I am thinking of purchasing this Morgan but wanted to get your guys expert opinion on the grade before potentially making a mistake. These are the sellers pics so I can't do any better I'm afraid. The reverse looks nice and clean but as the picture is a bit blurry so I'm grading mostly based on the obverse. The coin is in a GSA holder. Thanks in advance, I'll put my guess at the grade in the comments to see how close I got! Matt (: Here is a slightly different angle of the obverse as requested. Hi, as promised my estimate:
MS64
The mark on the cheek looks a bit serious and am wondering if that will bring it down.

Can you show us different lighting angles for the obverse?

I'd put it at a 63 based on current pictures

I lean toward 63 as well, but would like to see some different lighting angles.

Another vote for 63. Lots of small hits and scuffs, too many for a 64. Good eye appeal, nevertheless.

Nice 78CC GSA!
MS63 is my vote as well

I'll go with MS-63.
Errers and Varietys.

MS63 it is then. Looks like I was a bit off, I will probably pass unless I can talk them down in price.
Thanks for all the replies, it's great to have all of you around!
All the best,
Matt (:

May I ask, what is the price?

a high percentage of GSA coins come in at MS63. it may be a tad better than that but if I was seriously looking at purchasing I would personally I would consider it at 63. the price for these have been increasing for the past 2 years so I think it would be a good buy if the price is right

Hi keith, the price is around $1,030 which seems high to me as the coin isn't spectacular compared to other ms63's.
I am expecting to pay a premium as I am in the UK but maybe not that much!
I'm still working up the nerve to negotiate without caving in and buying it anyway because I like it haha!

i understand you are in the UK but the price its offered at is too much a premium imo. heritage coins sold one in february for about $550. recent sales on ebay are all over the place from $520 to $1200 if it has a COA with it. recent sales seem to be averaging $550-600 USD. hope that helps
