This is my first post, so please be easy on me! I discovered a large coin collection in our house and have been studying them. I am likely mistaken, but this 1971 D Kennedy half dollar seems to have a wider rim on one side than the other. Would that just be from normal wear? I have others that are not like this, but I am not jumping to "off center" conclusions either.
Thanks!
RJE

It appears that your coin was struck with slightly misaligned dies.

That's what I was wondering... Does that affect the supposed value of a coin at all?
Thanks!

RJE,

If the reverse is normal, centered your coin is a MAD=misaligned die. Not off enough for a premium.

The reverse is slightly off, but not as much as in the photos above. Thanks for the input!

Might check the edge for anything out of the ordinary. Thanks, Doug.

Might be a minor Misaligned Die. We'll need full pictures of the obverse and reverse.

to the CCF and MAD. It has to be far enough off as to effect the devices, before it has a premium.

Just a little bit unaligned Die. No dramatic or to be considered off center. Miss aligment do not reflect only in the rims, been also on the design. Your case show me an slight loose Hammer. Look how the letters are MD and the MM.
