So I found this 1922
Peace dollar now I'm wondering if there are any known business strikes made from the Low Relief Matte proof dies. I'm going to try and be as realistic as possible here. Chances are it's probably not proof seems to be a later stage of the die pairing. What would be the best way to go about getting it verified further. I am looking to eventually get it stabbed by pcgs but haven't fully looked into it, kinda assuming it would cost me a pretty penny if it is what I think it is and I'd rather not waist money. I'm kinda feeling like the dog that chases cars and finally caught one and now I don't know what to do with it. Your input is appreciated. Otherwise I'm going to go to my local coin show this weekend and see if someone there who knows more info about it. I already checked
VAM world and this is not listed as a
VAM. And I have also checked against various die markers visible by photo on pcgs. I'm 99% sure this coin was struck by Matte Proof dies I'm just skeptical of it being proof. I also went down to my local coin shop earlier today and had them test it on their sigma. My scale broke I had them weigh and check it and it checks out as a legit
Peace dollar now I need to verify the die pairing.

Photo below shows same die anomalies as photos listed on pcgs. P.u.p are die dot inside the first 2 along with small raised area on left side of first T of trust in the incuse area behind her neck

Reverse is b1 type with correct features matching matte proof die and not typical b1 reverse

If photos of another area are needed let me know and I will post them. I will also post more info as things happen such as grading as well as what the people at my local coin show let me know this weekend.
