2015P Lincoln Cent 1DO-004/WDDO-014
Not the nicest DDO for 2015 but still easy to spot.
CC-https://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=2015&die_id=2015p1do004&die_state=lds

DD- http://doubleddie.com/1542214.html

Found this in a better roll but the same group as the nasty rolls that had the convex cent. It's actually a nice AU Red (bordering on RB) but my phone's software wasn't showing much of the red.
Another thing my phone didn't capture was the raised features north of IGWT and the date that looks like possible split plating. It isn't split plating. CC images show the slightly raised bumps and lines above the motto, IGWT.

The bottoms of the circles forming the B (LIBERTY) were a way I used to differentiate this variety from the multitude of others on DD .com. I didn't see the die chip on the edge of the shield under LB until I had already attributed it on CC.

It's been a couple of months since finding anything worth sharing, so this is a nice break.

Enjoy and thanks for taking a look.

Glad to see that you found something worth posting @pete, although this one is pretty subtle for my eyes.

Very nice find! Nice distortion on this doubled die. Did you not get a scope like mine, for the closeup shots?

This is a tough one to find for sure.
I like how the date is similar to that of the 2015 wddo-006.
It's a great one awesome find.

The die is master die is slightly out of line for the grooves, as the pressure increases the die "pop's into place, creating a doubled or thicker impression on the working die. Class 9.

One of the today experts explain me those new kind of doubling as you read above. If for Pete it is easy for me NO. So today an master die produce DDO's and DDR's.

That's not true. I think they meant working hub, not master die.

Thanks Tan, I believe more working hub, more logic for me. Probablly an taping error. I has no time to discuss direct as I can not make calls from Hospital.

Thanks for taking a look everyone.

Modern cents are one place to be able to find varieties at cost. I like wheat and memorial varieties of course, but they are becoming increasingly hard to find.

In hand, the doubling is fairly easy to see on the date and LIBERTY.
DD .com can be overwhelming with all the varieties listed, so I was glad to find it on CC first.
CC had one that was very similar (DDO-003) but the B of LIBERTY wasn't a match even though the die crack on the eyebrow had me wondering for a while.

I did but can't seem to master the lighting. I get too frustrated with it.
I don't have a designated space for coins so it's set it up for fun, take it down for work. Repeat as needed.
I'm still "old school" using my phone with a clip-on magnifier for closeups.
I've come to realize that if the image is way too light or dark, I can touch the screen where I want to focus and the internal software will adjust the lighting for me. Easy peasy except when it's not.

I used a hole punch to make a small, circular hole in a piece of paper and center it on the bottom to filter the light. Seems to work fairly well. Need to change mine out, kind of grungy.

I tried a light filter but will give your idea a try.
