I picked this album up only because the coin in the 44S slot is steel, impossible to see the year so I'll see what arrives, even if it actually is a 44S Steelie that comes it's probably a China replica anyway but I buy everything I see under 10 bucks that has any chance at all.

Yup, an accurate weight and a magnet test will tell us more. Eager to see where this goes.

Ya you never know,I scan the websites for ads like this, first I go and check the seller and the other items they for sale,if it's a dealer then I pass but this ad was just a regular guy with no other coin ads, just thrift store type stuff so I bought it,the album I bought with the 83D small date penny was the same idea, not a dealer just a guy selling stuff,so if both turn out not good, which I expect it's no big deal, low price items and I'm out 20 bucks.

If genuine, it will be only the third known 1944-S steel cent. You have a much better chance of winning the PowerBall lottery and being struck by lightning on the same day.

Well it appears (at lease to me) that 2 coins are placed in the wrong spots. The 1941-D and the 1943-D should be swapped. The coin in the 41-D looks like a steel cent, and the one in the 43-D spot looks copper. The hole for the 44-S is empty.

I don't even know if it's a 44 but just saw a steelie in the 44S spot so I bought the album,I blew the picture up the best I could and tried to enhance it but still can't tell,so it's a mystery until it arrives but thought I'd throw a picture up here for the fun of it like I did with the other post of the 83D small penny in the album

Hi,just read your other reply,no I won't loose sleep over stuff like this LOL,I buy 10-15 or so a year like this and never hit one for a long time,I found a 1831 1/2 cent years ago,a few others but probably I'm 4 out of 250 tries over 20 years but this is the way new stuff is found, somebody has to discover stuff.

But the 44-S spot is empty, unless I'm missing something.
