Way too many photos. How about a shot of the entire coin?
Congratulations on the discovery coin.

Congrats and thanks for showing all the areas affected. Is that a die chip below the R (TRUST) that can be used as a marker?

Not seeing this half dollar in hand...It looks to me like it has a lot of Strike Doubling in your photos. I would like to see what James Wiles would say if he attributed it in hand.

I think you all should look close again at each photo...where do you see any doubling except Strike Doubling?

For me seem to be more an FFD then an DDO. I took in consideration the year of production and the ways the Dies are produce. Before 1999 probably will be TDO but today the DDO's show others characteristics. Only my oppinion.

Definitely looks like Class II hub doubling, which seems to have returned in 2022. A good number of Class IIs have come up recently with a few cent and nickel Class II doubled dies already listed in the Wexler files.
I haven't seen any of the 2023 half dollars yet but 8 out of the 9 2023-P halves photographed by PCGS so far have this doubling. I'd be hesitant to call it a doubled die yet.
