Hi all, I have just started getting into the wild world of coins. My Grandfather was a collector. his collection was passed down to my mother when he passed away. When my mother passed away I and my 3 siblings split the collection four ways using a random lottery type process. I recently started going through it looking to see what I have that might be of some value other than the obvious silver dollars, half dollars, quarters and dimes. It wasn't until I got a coin microscope that I really got interested in what can be common circulating coins with unknown values. The first coin I put under the microscope is a 2017 Indiana State Quarter that seems to be double struck on the head side. I can't help but wonder if this is a common thing or if this coin is actually an error coin. I'll attach some images.

I want to give you the tools to find out for yourself whenever you suspect you have a doubled die, RPM, or OMM:
Go to varietyvista.com and try to find an EXACT match to your coin.

Note:
If you do not find an EXACT match to your coin listed using this easy method, then you most likely have a damaged coin or other issues like (non collectable) Machine Doubling, Die Deterioration Doubling, etc. (look these up at error-ref.com)
