still learning, but my scanner does not show good color, its almost the same shine as a new penny

It looks brown to me. Also too worn to be MS. Maybe XF or a low AU.

agree it is low AU at best and brown.

AU55-ish seems about right. Shine doesn't always launch a coin into the MS stratosphere. Your coin would serve as a good album hole filler until better comes along.

i add this color scale these are not my coins the reason I ask does color make that big a difference in the au xf ms scale
but my coin 1959 d is the same color as the coin to the far left

This Coin isn't even Uncirculated, let alone ms68.

i know its not uncirculated but the coin that I saw that had a ms 68 rating had not claimed to be uncirculated
not questioning you learning more ?!

Looks to be around EF45. The obverse high points and reverse cornice are highly worn.

This is a coin that has seen circulation wear. At best it's mid-AU.

again sorry for ms rating but the place where I viewed the ms 68 coin said because of the red color it was graded higher ? thank you again
