2024 halves are out! On a business trip to Buffalo, NY and asked for halves at a bank. They had $430, all brand new 2024-P. Haven't cracked open any rolls yet, but you get the idea!

Not sure if this has been addressed elsewhere in this thread, but nickel mintage so far in 2024, as reported by U.S. Mint, has been unusually low by modern standards — about 65 million at both mints. Soooo... out of curiosity, has anyone found a 2024-dated nickel yet? And, if so, what region of the country or state? I've searched a bunch of nickels in the L.A. area, and a smaller quantity in the Vegas area and have yet to find one.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Last year I found quite a few 2023 coins in circulation but I only found one nickel.

Took long enough.
Finally get to contribute to my own thread.
I honestly started thinking I was never going to get a 2024 dated coin.
Today I received my first 2024 dated coin.
It is a 2024D Patsy Takemoto Mink quarter.
I think this is the longest into a year I have gotten my first coin dated for the current year.

That's a nice find, ckrakowski. The 2024s are very scarce in my area.

No nickels or quarters yet. Just 8 cents and 4 dimes.

The last time I went so long without seeing new nickels and dimes is 2009.
This is NOT a good sign economically.
