Hi,I don't post most of the stuff I find because the odds against it are so high and everything I have posted here the last 3 months has been wrong but I thought they all had a chance,I think this one has a chance too,let me know what you think,I know you can go on the web right now and find blackened 1971D's,there a hundred of them but this one really looks Silver and wanted to get opinions here,I DO NOT have the coin it's in the mail,I can't weight it until it gets here, just want opinions about the pictures and I know there is no way to say Y/N but it does look like a 40%er,thanks. *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

I know I wish I had one too but there were lots of watchers on the coin on the website so I bought it,the reeding I could see on the left looked proper so I bought it,probably end up in the spend it pile but took a shot at it,I have silver coins that look just like it,5 bucks why not.

Exactly what did the seller say to make you think a common 1970-D was worth $5.00?
Just wondering.

If you got a 1970-D for $5 you did pretty well. If you got a '71-D for that price you got ripped off.
