Hi,I don't post most of the stuff I find because the odds against it are so high and everything I have posted here the last 3 months has been wrong but I thought they all had a chance,I think this one has a chance too,let me know what you think,I know you can go on the web right now and find blackened 1971D's,there a hundred of them but this one really looks Silver and wanted to get opinions here,I DO NOT have the coin it's in the mail,I can't weight it until it gets here, just want opinions about the pictures and I know there is no way to say Y/N but it does look like a 40%er,thanks.

That's a 1965 Kennedy half dollar, which should be 40% silver. Did you post the wrong image?

That's from 1965, not 1971.

Exactly what did the seller say to make you think a common 1970-D was worth $5.00?

Just wondering.

If you got a 1970-D for $5 you did pretty well. If you got a '71-D for that price you got ripped off.
