Finally got my new camera. I need to keep using it so I can take even better pictures. Here is a pic of the 1990D nickel I found the other day with no "FS"

Is 1990 the only year found so far to be missing FS?

As far as I know. Wheezydog was the one who informed me. I've searched 27 boxes of nickels and only found 1 so far.

meckl, most nickels do NOT have full steps. So I'm puzzled by your comment.

( edit )
Are you talking about the designer's initials?

FS=Felix Schlag (designer's initials)
FS=Full Steps

Sorry for the confusion. It was brought to my attention that some of the 1990D nickels had the designers initials polished off the die. The intials are usually below his his bust between 5 and 6 o'clock on the coin.
