Today I finished my first complete set. It is a circulated Franklin half year and mm set and I found about 60% of them from roll hunting. Now on to my Peace dollar set.

Cool! How far along did that process get you in the Kennedy journey?

I have found all but the 1970D and one 1987 and the 2009 ones assuming they made them, but I only collect the silver ones the 1987s and the 2002+ ones.

Wow, You mean to say you found a 1949 S in circulation ( bank rolls )? That is unbelievable, but I do believe you. Super job! How bout a nice picture of your Franklin set. Congrats!

I only found 60% in circulation. I do not recall if the 1949S was one of those. I don't specifically recall purchasing it separate. My camera has a dead battery so I might post a photo later.

Ive found the 49s in circulation, I've found 25 out of the 35. For walkers I've found 27 out of the set. I think that the franklin series is very feasible to accomplish with a little persistance. I would think that the Kennedy half, Franklin half, Jefferson nickel, anthony, Sacagawea, and Presidential dollar series can all be accomplished. Kennedy proofs, eisenhower, and roosevelt dimes(if you include 1996w) all are possible but require signifigant luck. Buffalo's, Walker's, Lincoln Cents, all have to many key dates and any older sets not mentioned have to low of a frequency to be found in circulation. -XoG

Nice accomplishment, I have just recently started half searching and have ony been through 1 box already with only a few silver kennedys to show for it. How often do you say you get Franklins and how long did it take to make your set? thanks

I probably find a franklin in 5-10% of the boxes I search. I found 1 box that had 30 though, that really helped. This set took me about 9 months to complete.

ive been roll hunting for two years. i would say that I find franklins every 5 boxes or so although oftentimes there is only one or two in a box. Persistance is they key.
