I have two questions about this coin. My first question is does anyone else see a double ear or DDR on the coin? Second question is not about errors, but is this a dcam proof? I'm still trying to figure out the best way to take photos of coins and capture the coins quality and appearance. This 1961 has a vibrant gold coloring that reflects red and green essence off of it at certain angles. It's a deep rich and bold coloring. I found it in a 1961 mint set along with a Nickel and Dime that have a light blue halo like coloring.

@dyk, while there are no known DDOs for this year, there are several DDRs. Here is a link to the varietyvista site to help you with your research:

All of them are somewhat subtle, so unless you can take really good close-up images to add to this thread, you are most likely going to have to do the investigation with the coin in hand.

As to your DCAM question, these images would not support a claim of DCAM, IMO.

No this would not be a DCAM, also not seeing any doubling on this cent.
But it is a nice looking proof.

I put arrows and zoomed in to see, what I believe to be doubling. Proof like coins always mess with my eyes, so I could be wrong. Only Gouge I saw was in-between pillars on reverse like shown, but tell me what you think. Is there a type of name they call this red and green toning then? Thank you for your time.

These proof cents are hard to photograph and attribute due to light reflection and I think that's what you are seeing here. I don't see any doubling so far. Direct heat can cause the bright red, green and yellow tints. Under certain conditions environment make cause the same thing. Just my opinion.
