Not sure how this happened. Has anyone ever seen this? One of the coins that was saved over the many years. Pretty certain of the year. Had making the phots fit, sorry doing my best.

Yes you got that right @mrb--that is major damage. Hard to say what caused this, other than it was mechanical.
