Trying to fill in my Business Strike 1965-1967 Jeffersons. It is hard to tell the difference between the Business Strike and the SMS. They are often miss labeled as well. What do you guys think about this one? SMS? or Business Strike? 1967 NGC link to coin in grading forum: http://goccf.com/t/476709

Definitely Business strike.
It is typical except for its superb luster that is similar to SMS.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Thanx Saturn! That one was a splurge back then. Now, I'm getting use to higher prices, LOL! I never would have guessed when I started this project that the1955 I recently posted was priced higher than that 1944 D!!!!
Thank you Clad King! Always value your input. I had my fingers crossed for Business Strike!
The excellent luster was what was concerning to me. That and the inexpensive price I snagged this coin. At $17 Shipped it was priced as an SMS.
I'll reveal more tomorrow after the grading forum is done with it.

Boring Update Time! With that 1955 finally (and stupid expensively) upgraded to a matching grade as the rest of the pre-1960 Jeffersons it's time to move on. I'm going to start with the 60's and 70's. This may seem boring to anyone who hasn't tried to get nice Choice+ examples, but I assure you, this will be a massive challenge. There will be almost zero Full Steps acquired in the 60's. One, because some years don't even have any. Two, because if there are examples available, they are hundreds or even thousands of dollars. The 60's and 70's basically either make the Choice+/Gem grade and are expensive or don't and only cost a couple dollars. Finding raw or inexpensive graded MS65/66 examples will be challenging. I would like to upgrade anything Choice or below. 1960 - 19691961 p Choice+ 1961 d Choice 1962 p Choice 5FS 1962 d Choice+ 1963 p Choice+ 1963 d Choice 1964 p Choice 1964 d Choice 1965 1966 1967 update soon 1968 d Choice 1968 s Choice+ 1969 d BU 1969 s Choice The 70's will be a bit more fun as more Full Step examples will be attainable. I'll be looking for Choice FS to Gem coins and upgrading everything Choice and below. 1970 - 19791970 d Choice 1970 s BU 1971 p Choice 6FS 1971 d Choice 5FS 1972 p Choice 5FS 1972 d Choice+ 5FS 1973 p Choice 5FS 1973 d Choice 5FS 1974 p Choice 1974 d BU 1975 p Choice 1975 d Choice 5FS 1976 p Choice 1976 d Choice 1977 p Choice 1977 d Choice 5FS 1978 p Choice+ 1978 d Choice+ 1979 p Choice 1979 d Choice+ I will also be posting pictures along the way! To start here are some of the pick-ups I have found so far online. Most will not upgrade, however. The hunt will be long and difficult. Online pics are not readily available. I might just have to go for rolls . If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Your awesome Jbuck! Scored some nice nickels the other day! Can't wait to post them up here soon! In the meantime, the 1967 has finished in the grading forum. I nice score for $17 Shipped! There are still some cherry picks out there to be found!
