Rumor has it that HSN is hiring 75 temps and getting a charter bus to take them to Indiana to get loads of rolls.

I truly hope that the girls at the phone answering center for the park are wrong about the #of people they "think" will be attending. I do know that everyone and his mom who can be there will be there,Including the HSN (dirt bags), should be exciting, to say the least.....

If I lived a little bit closer I would consider it. The mint had better bring a lot of pennies to this release cause there are going to be a lot of people there wanting these pennies.

Sorry I had to go, one of those things ,Well I also found out that the ceremony will be held at the Amphitheater and there is only parking for about 900 vehicles, only there are lots of other places in the park to park, no pun intended, also laura expects the line of cars and people to be tremendous out side the park, to get in for the event. I also spoke to Kaye, another very nice person who runs the Lincoln City Post Office and she states that the P O is across the street from the park and the way she is running things is as follows, she said she will have 2-desks set up in the lobby and a sign-in sheet for people to follow by, in order in which they sign in, when your name is called "YOU" will stamp your own rolls and there will be 5-stamps for people to use to do this. so, sounds like much thought has gone into this day. I was told that the post office, because these "rolls" are expensive and that they do not want to be responsible for a mistake, also you having your own stamps is " not a problem" , she also told me she will have a very large amount of stamps available for sale. Come 5 o'clock the door will be locked. All in all this town sounds like it is waiting and loving the attention, and the entire time I spoke to many people, everyone seems very helpful and kind to be of assistance, ENJOY! PS: I would like to think that everyone reading this would also of given all this information to everyone else also, or did I give a little tooo much information, naaa I believe everyone would of done the same for me, Right?W/E...

Morgans Dad, Please post some pics of the event if you can. You folks should have a whale of a time. Take it from one jealous individual. This is a great read as your other one as well.

Chump Change, I promise you I will take some very nice pictures, another hobby, I expect this event to be as wild as the first( I was not there, I heard) and probably even crazier and many more people in attendance, good luck to all. I was originally going to trade and give some coins and /or rolls to some member's because they will not be attending, however this is proving to be a futile task and something that started out to be a good thing has become a thorn in my side and apparently some other's also, good luck to all......

Sounds like there's 7 CCF'ers going - at least who are admitting it!
I am dragging the lovely wife and two sons along for entertainment - it will be a truly historic event - so I am hoping for 24 rolls minimum - which sounds like a ton to me.

Ken, I think you will obtain as many rolls as you and your "family" are willing to stand in line for, I wish my Family could attend, you know, work and that sort of stuff, LOL, I wonder how young you can be to purchase coins at these ceremonies? I know more people will attend, (other member's )at least I think so, that said, I wish all who attend a wonderful time and please, share your photo's also, I want to take a few shots of the U S Mint truck(s) among other things. I want to make a framed collage of this event, and also hope to return with many rolls, or boxes for that matter. KenKat are you staying at the Lincoln City State Park?Be Well, Mike...

No, we are driving there in the morning - only about 3 hours away and we get a bonus hour (which we give back on the drive home) due to going from Eastern to Central time zone.
Really just dragging the family along for the experience, not as buyers - although my youngest is 10 and is pretty interested in coins actually. I do think they'll be able to buy rolls however and they might as well while we are in line. I would imagine we will only make one trip through the line unless it is short after our first trip thru.

Well you all have fun and be careful driving there. I did see in the new Coin World they said the new LP2 will aso be sold at two other locations in DC one being Union Station makes me mad I called the US Mint Public relations office they said this wasn't true two weeks ago. If I new then it was true I would have made plans to go to DC and the Union Station Train Center and got some oh well. Everyone have fun and enjoy the event.

Bring your umbrella - and maybe a lightning rod. Forecast is for Thunderstorms, 80% chance, high of 72.
