Im curious if anyone has seen this on any coin before or if it is an error or post mint damage. No marks on the obverse and the rim looks formed around the mark. Any insight would be great.

I agree that there is no evidence of damage on the obv, but still believe this to be damage rather than struck through a foreign object. What is the weight?

Probably just damage ( PMD) that smoothed over from circulation.

PMD. The force was applied at an angle, crushing the dentils on the reverse.

Agree with damage. The obverse is affected (denticles very weak opposite the strike). Agree it was struck at an angle.

I'm going to disagree with the above.
If you look at both ends of the anomaly, where it meets the edge/rim , you will see that small fins were formed during the strike. I have seen this on other incomplete planchets, like this 1924 straight clip. 1904-Mistruck-Penny?
This finning would not be present after damage. This anomaly is most likely from a rolled in foriegn object when the coin metal sheet was rolled to thickness.

I see "damage" repeated around the right side, like 3-4 separate long light gouges. Hard to say what this is. If that much metal was missing when it was struck, or it was struck through something that thick, it seems like there would be evidence on the reverse.
