Well, by the looks of things there were six types of this coin with the bird flying below the boat. There are three 1 yuan and one 1/2 yuan, one 2 jiao and one 1 jiao.
They are all silver except two of the 1 yuan coins, one is brass and the other copper.
Yours would be the 1 yuan coin.
There's different writing on the boat side.
ben ji wei bi yi hao for 1 jiao (from right to left, I can't use Chinese characters on here, you can find them on the numista page)
ben ji wei bi er hao for 2 jiao
ben ji wei bi ban yuan for 1/2 yuan
ben ji wei yi yuan for 1 yuan
Yours is the latter one.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces240958.htmlThe wing on the left most bird seems too short. On the coins on numista the wing goes out to the point where the rigging starts, on this coin of yours it stops before that.
The "bi" character on yours looks wrong. The top part on the right on yours just looks like three lines, but it should look a little like #25909; but slightly different.
your "yuan" looks so wrong. Yours looks like how someone would write it if they wanted it to be clear. The coin on numista it looks more stylized.
The sun's rays on yours look like they touch the sun, on the coin I'm seeing there's a gap all the way around the sun.
I'm going to say it looks fake, and hasn't even been done that well. I think Chinese people would notice it's fake.
