Found Some Silver In Customer-Prepared Half Dollar Wrappers

One of the banks in my town has never had any half dollars that I could purchase. That changed yesterday when a teller told me that a customer recently turned in three rolls of half dollars.

I was surprised when I saw them. That customer had made the wrappers using white paper! I thought that they might contain a valuable half-dollar collection that someone not experienced at handing coins had inherited and decided to cash at the bank.

However, the first two rolls contained only slightly-circulated half dollars minted during the early and mid-1970s. But I found two 40% Kennedy half dollars in the third roll. Better than nothing!
