That seems to be the approximate range of the 1995W either raw or 69 grade.
When I bought my set, that's the way the coin shop explained it to me, 1.85oz gold at or about spot plus about $2500 for the ASE. That's about where I came in about 3 years ago. It's a nice set.
You/I/we have to wonder though, if the ASE was ever closely examined for flaws to determine if it may be a 70. Because we all know what a huge game changer it is to have a 70 1995W.
Mine really looks flawless, but who knows, I'm not into this graded stuff.
That said, if I knew it would come back a 70, sure I'd send it in.
I've just talked to several people in the hobby that just have the opinion that the graders are very stingy in giving it a 70 grade on these for some odd reason.

While it would Seem the 1995-W Proof is About at $2500+pr-68- 69?.

But how can an Example of this coin in PR-69 Bring $2500, and the Next Grade up being a PR-70, Brings $12,000.!!!!!! Sounds Cock-Eyed to Me......

As mentioned above, We all know where a PR-70 comes in !!!!!

Gilly, My 10TH Anniversary American Gold /Silver Eagles Set has what appears to be All Stunning Flawless Examples Too.

I always wonder how long it's going to be before I can afford one of these. I was lucky enough to get a 2019-S, anyone want to trade?! Kidding. Mostly.

Also we lost a gem when we lost John Denver. Just saying. Yeah it was a long long time ago. Still stings.

" I was lucky enough to get a 2019-S "

Yes, You Were !!!! Some were able to receive More than One .....

The American Silver Dollar Series is IMO, Very Much Alive, I Personally would Enjoy More Enhanced Uncirculated Versions .......

The U S Mint's Own Mintage Reports Since I can Recall, The 1995-W Proof ASE was Always 30, 125.

Not long ago The U S Mint announced through Reports, The Newly Revised 1995-W Proof Mintage is 30, 102.

" This is my next purchase. I picked up the 2019-S last week."

Very Sweet Purchase. Was the 2019-S All You wanted, Condition wise, Being You did Not receive the 2019-S from the U S Mint originally ?

The 2019-S Enhanced Reverse Proof's Mintage is 29,909, the difference between the Two is Less than 100 , actually 93.

The 1995-W ASE Proof is one of the Keys, with a mintage of 30,102.
( mintage wise Another takes the Forefront ), That's Another Topic. Being Gold Today's Over 2,200 Per Ounce, Silver At 24.96 Per Ounce, The prices are Not going to Hold Here . Best Wishes, Mike.

" What sets the 2019-S Enhanced Reverse Proof apart are the multiple polished and frosted finishes applied to different isolated design elements "

The Same finish was applied to the 2019-W Enhanced Reverse Proof American Silver Eagle included in The Pride of Two Nations Set.

Morgans Dad, I love your enthusiasm.

Those two ASEs are by FAR the Keys of the series. So glad I got the 2019-S. The 1995 was *JUST* before I started collecting ASEs. I'll get it at some point. Gonna be a while.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but the way I'm interpreting it, is you think the prices on the collectible ASEs, the 95W or 19S ERP, are somehow linked to the price of the metal?

EDIT for collectors gold coins, I would agree, they will fluctuate on the price of gold (along with a premium that gradually fluctuates, some go up, some come down). But the collectors ASEs, not really a factor, the premium being sky high on these.

Hello Gilly,

I was Referencing the Fact GOLD, ( then 2,200/ounce ) is Now Today at $2,275.00 and I was Totally referring to The GOLD in the 10TH Anniversary sets Total Worth, Value vs Costs at Today's Prices. It will Not Hold HERE Either......

Not as ASE, in the Set, Over-All for the cost of The Complete Gold and Silver set.............

PS, John, I Know You'll locate Another Beauty, Hopefully an Un-Touched, Never Cleaned, All Original Luster/OGP Set...

EDIT: Today's Gold Prices, $2,294.90/Ounce, Silver $26,94 Per Ounce............

Checked out the 1995-West Point 10TH Anniversary Gold, Silver Sets on the Bay Today.

Wanted to note an Updated Gold Today is @ $2,666.00 per oz.
Silver is @ $ 29.72 per ounce.

The American Eagle 10TH Anniversary Set Proof Bullion Coins are Obviously going to rise up in value when Gold prices rise also. My question is to those that have This original packaged set, Do you grade or have the ability to Know what You Have in hand. Looking at the sets coins are you at ease viewing and confident in grading your coins?

In looking at the sets members, I am Very confident, After Another exciting close examination, My 1995-West Point ASE is Flawless, Which brings me to the Mind Blowing topic of The going prices of the 1995-W Proof ASE's graded @ PR-70 bring Today.

I see the Bay has the Set going for about $8,500- $9,000 Raw.
I see Graded sets PR-70 in slabs asking $15,000.

One 95-W- ICG PR-70 DCAM example selling for $8,495.00 ?
Why not go for a PR-70 at that price? Would anyone consider buying a 1995-W ASE graded by ICG , Break it out and seek an OGP and Fill that Set up, Starting with a " perfect " coin, ?

My how this sets mintage of 30,102 is getting harder to locate an example of a Complete untouched OGP .
