There are far to many photos for one post. So, in the future please only have 2-6 coin photos per post as if there is more then that it becomes difficult to separate one coin from another. Thank you and nice Morgans and Peace dollars  |

Sorry for the photospam :)
It was 10 morgans and one peacedollar. But some seem very worn down but patina is beatifull, or so says my wife anyway :)

Moniker, It is best to post one coin per thread and the coin needs to be out of the holder. Where did you buy them from? What did you pay for each coin? First thing to do is check to make sure they are genuine. Weight? tissue test? If you have any specific questions please ask them in detail, we will help you. I bought them as a lot on a site much like craigs list but in europe.
I posted obverse and reverse of every coin in order, but as your feedback suggests I should have posted them one and one :/ The image posting here is a little bit tricky
I paid a little more than 200S, but I didnt buy them as an investment, I like the look and weight of them. I think morgan coins are generally more expensive here on the other side of the pond
The questions I have since I did a unedjucated purchase is:
Do they seem legit (tx for the weigh tip)
And since I want to take them out of the holders and handle them, is there anyone that I should handle with care or grade, before I put them in a bowl at home to look on, or is it the "scrap" value :)
I understand now that these questions are tricky to answer with the photos and information provided
I will probably buy graded ones in the future, this was pure impulse since I normaly collect other things, but I will definitely be getting more Morgans

I would recommend that you keep most of them in the holders, just so they stay nice otherwise they will get all dinged up won't be as nice to look at. I would also recommend that you reholder them in new 2x2's after giving them a bath in 100% pure acetone. . The ones that you can't really hurt are the: First 1889-0, appears to be cleaned. The dark toned 1885, harshly cleaned and full of small dings. The 1880 with the black spot on the word "Liberty" ,it has graffiti on it. Maybe the last two, but pictures are not good enough to properly evaluate the coins. Edited by Khromtau

So you paid about $20/coin, that is a great buy. Even in cull condition they seem to go for over $25 each, and some of yours are very nice so worth more. Score! |
