I was penny roll searching and found this Wheat penny that looks shiny and have not seen any scratches but I have not looked under magnification. Is it possible to get a ms68 or higher. Or is it even valuable at ms67. I know it's gotta be at least ms67

Nice looking cent, but if you are planning on selling it - place it in a 2x2 now or use gloves so you don't accidently fingerprint it up. as for value - Don't know given the blurry conditions of the images.
Can you post up larger better focused images?

with Dearborn...
More than likely it tops at a MS-66RD since a 68 would be virtually flawless but if it was found crh would expect it to have a few more dings than a 68 would have.

Appears to be a nice coin, but the posted pics are a tad small and soft. Suggest not handling the coin with bare fingers. Given what is posted, the coin likely falls in the AU58-MS63 range. Better pics may tell a different story.

How much can you get ungraded ?
Undoubtedly there are many hundreds of thousands
or even millions just like yours . Very common issue .
I just looked in my inventory , there are 3 OBW sitting there !
Even with the rather soft out of focus pix , no better
than a 63 , 64 .
Not much value ..likely a dollar or less if you could find a buyer.

To CCF! I would suggest wearing gloves, while holding a coin. Fingerprints won't go away, unless soaked in pure acetone, while they're fresh. As for value, not too much. Maybe a dollar at most. We're going to need much better photos, to grade your coin accurately.

Common issue and most of them are MS-63 and lower. Much better pictures would be needed for us to photo grade your coin.

You're looking at two bucks, if it's MS-67.

These pieces are extremely common in high grades (65 & up). Realistically you're looking at $2 or $3 if it's a problem-free gem.

Do not worry about grading it. The right obverse field reveals there's no chance it'll grade MS67.

Your photos are way too blurry to offer a grade opinion, but I can see it is a Denver mint coin. I can't even tell the date by the fuzzy photos.

Jillions of these things were saved by the roll and by the bag during the coin roll craze of the 1950's and 1960's.

Wholesale buyers pay about 16 cents each for "common" uncirculated Wheaties. There is no shortage.

if you are using a phone to photograph these use the following guidelines to help get the best photos

1. turn off flash

2. place coin on flat surface with indirect natural light. maybe a window sill in a cloudy day. Use a black or white background to avoid any reflective color

3. move phone about 3in from coin

4. zoom in using your fingers until the coin comes into focus and fills the cameras view finder. if your phone has a portrait selection use that and then press and hold on the coin in the view finder to AF lock it

5. hold phone steady. if you can't then place something on either side of the coin (like books) at that distance and lay phone between them. this will hold it steady and allow you to zoom and take the photo without any blurring

Eye88 - We're not trying to diminish the thrill of finding a brilliant red Wheat cent. It will always be a great thing. Keep it up my friend.
