The die crack through MERIC looks more progressed on my coin, with the crack now extending past the top tip of the C to the rim. The crack looks like it might also be expanding left through the top of the M.
Unfortunately, the coin didn't fare so well on the grading forum. So I paid for a lesson in being more attentive to the small details of coin photos, and not just the variety.
