1983 P Lincoln Cent obverse Cud @ k5-k6
Lifes kept me busy so I haven't posted much lately.

I had a fellow collector/dealer friend come across about $50 of loose, mostly copper, memorial Lincolns from another collectors widow. He sold them to me for face value. He even put them in rolls while watching March madness!

The widow said her son had gone through the Lincolns, so I wasn't expecting much other than plenty of BU red cents. I've been keeping my eyes out for some of the more obscure varieties the son may not have known about.

With this Cud, I finally came across something, after about 20 rolls.

There's a few that are close to this one but nothing seems to match exactly. (Mine has 3 cracks in the corners of the memorial building.)
1983p 005, 014, and 029 were pretty close at cuds-on-coins. Let me know your thoughts on a variety number or not.

I'd say 005 is closest but the die crack off the upper left of the building goes to the "E", not the "D", of UNITED.
Anyways thanks for looking and here's the link to C-O-C.

Thanks everyone. This group of cents has potential.
And igtw79 you might be on to something but mine would have to be an earlier stage of 029. #029 doesn't the dies cracks at the three corners of the building and the Cud itself is shaped differently on the left and the right side extends slightly further to the east than mine.

Out of the 20 rolls searched so far, only 6 have been after 1990 (all 6 in 2004-2005 range), so I'm guessing that may be when the son went through them. (I can't help but wonder what varieties the "missing 6" might have been.) But if he missed something as obvious as this Cud, I'm thinking there may be more goodies.

Thanks JC.
Do you think this might be a new Cud or should I send a request with images so you can assess it by email?
