Is this considered a Class VIII on the 4? Is this doubling on the L in liberty? What classification would you give this coin, if any at all?

Thank you for your input, I am new at this and am trying to learn.

I think I need new glasses. I looked, took pic, posted, went back and it is not the same coin. I think I better take some advice someone gave me recently, compare to other examples (a lot better), then make a post. Thank you for your input.

Can someone PLEASE tell me the best way to look at a coin thru a microscope? Black & White, in color? I am having a difficult time. I apologize for getting off topic.

I look at coins in color vs. black and white. Sometimes I'll play with lighting to make certain features stand out more. When it comes to potential doubling on a coin, I tend to rotate the coin under the microscope. Light induced will follow the lighting. DDD will also change showing the sloping sides of the lettering. MD will stay but be shelf-like. Real doubling won't change either.

Anytime you think you may have found a doubled die, RPM, or OMM, then go to varietyvista.com and see if you find an EXACT match.

Note:
If you do not find an EXACT match to your coin listed using this easy method, then you most likely have a damaged coin or other issues like (non collectable) Machine Doubling, Die Deterioration Doubling, etc. (look these up at error-ref.com)

If after checking there you think you have a match, then feel free to post the link and we can verify for you or help you understand why not :D
