Serious damage radiating from the center on the reverse of this 1966 LMC. Not familiar with MD, or PMD like this. The obverse, rim and edge has very little damage that would indicate PMD. Thoughts? Thanks.

That has to be damaged.. sure is odd looking. I was expecting to see heavy radial flow lines. Do you think somebody tried to mimic that?

Definitely PSD. Who knows how, except the person who did it. Looks like it has a slight rotation to it too and flattened rims on the reverse to go along with the outward scratches.

Just PMD. Easy effect to achieve with a drill.

All I know is it makes me dizzy. (I thought I was back in the 1960s)

The edge photos seem to reveal highly heated metal overlapping and clinging to the edge of the coin. Does anyone have examples of experiments with a drill that matches this coin?
