I've attached a few photos of a 1938 D Buffalo nickel where the letters on the reverse appear to have a doubling effect. These letters appear to be of Five Cent, E Pluribus Unum and States. Possibly, even if not doubled, the quality would be high enough to send in for further evaluation for the 1938.
I'm noticing the quality of the coin could result in a pretty decent mint state sending forward. Might be worth considering for handing down to a grandchild in future.
