When you see metal that has been pushed aside from original position then it is likely just damage. Like already said "a hit mark".

 the no mint mark is normal for this year and for 1965-1967 as no MM's were added to any coins no matter what mint they came from. Now your coin - it looks like the rim took some heavy hits, denting it in.
