So, first I do apologize being less active on here but I do have an excuse for it an that I because I have been working on my photographing skills (I bought a stand for my camera :D). But let's get to the main course, I bought two coins: one is a 1859 G50C BG-902 California Fractional Gold, the other one is a 1881-S graded MS-64 by ANACS (for $625 altogether). Here are the photos and as always opinions are appreciated. Edited by johnhenry9009 06/14/2024 12:58 pm

These are both gorgeous coins @john, and I'm very glad to have you back here and being active.
One minor request though--pls post each new coin in a separate thread so that we can give them all the attention that they deserve. Thx!

Neato! The fractional golds are so cool, tiny little things that look like crude replicas of the 'real' coins coming out of the actual mint. I definitley need one of these, it appears they come in .25, .50, and $1. They also come in round or octagonal, and Liberty or Indian. Which to get? That is the question Love your coin, but my one objection is that this PCGS holder obscures the octagon-ness, it seems the NGC holders with the prongs show it off better.

Agree, the holder doesn't do it justice.

Interesting shape. Mostly round, but with two sides of an octagon.

I love it! It is pleasantly frosted, with PL fields for a minor cameo contrast. No major distractions to note, very wholesome overall. Thanks for sharing!
