That's assuming the coin is truly AU. The USoA text seems quite wavy and smooshed to be About Uncirculated, but many folks here are far better than I at grading. Report this Post to the Staff

A lot were made as there was a war on and the economy by 1945 was in full war production mode. It is 90% silver, which is the primary driver of a value of $2-3.
