Swiss 1424. No, not I. I think bd251 has a couple of AH 827 / 1424's from Jaunpur....I could be wrong though. My next is 1421

A great run of Jauny's, bd. Great texture too, very consistent look.

Excellent coins @bd251! And yes, very consistent look. I remember thinking when they originally came up on the How Far Back threads that they almost look modern with how only the date changes and everything else is almost the same.
As for the dates, I think we've lost track a bit; we're at 1420 today, and both Spence and ttkoo forgot to post their 1422 and 1421 respectively. Updated list of missing dates: 1464, 1463, 1462, 1457, 1454, 1446, 1436, 1428, 1426, 1424, 1422, 1421 (last two pending posts by Spence and ttkoo, respectively). I believe the 1410s should be mostly covered, though.

Here are a couple 1421s (one actually AH 824) to catch up for yesterday: Aachen Groschen: Mecca Akce:

And here is another Groschen to take care of 1420 AD:

Quote: Mecca Akce: ...I think you have two copies of the same picture here. We're now down to 10 missing dates so far; if the 825/1422 shows up today, we'd have 9, which would put us at exactly 95% coverage (in the 1600 to 1421 range).

Jaunpur Sultanate billon tanka Shams-al-Din Ibrahim Shah AH 823 (1420 CE) 18.2 x 18.5mm, 9.12g GG# J6 Just realized my typo on yesterday's post. AH 826 is 1423 CE but @j1m already corrected for that in the missing dates.

Some more beautiful coins! I was a little confused by the date of Spence's akce (is it 824 or 825?), so I looked it up on Zeno; it's a one-year type, dated 825 AH = 1422 AD. (Apparently the date is retrograde on Spence's example.) With that in mind, corrected list of missing dates: 1464, 1463, 1462, 1457, 1454, 1446, 1436, 1428, 1426, 1422, 1421, and AFAICT we aren't expecting any more gaps in a while yet. As already mentioned, this takes us to exactly 95% coverage from 1600 until 1421 (slightly over 95% if we also include the already-covered 1420 date).
