This one looks more clear than others I've seen.
Is it worth anything other than face value?

Folded creases but not worn, very lightly circulated but stored for a long time, not faded, still stiff feel.

I know it's truly not upside down, just the ink looks that way

to the CCF!

Is this a known variety?

I don't see it as upside down. It looks like the dark area is at the top, which would be the blue background for the starts and I see stripes in the area below.

Let's see what others think of the flag. I'm watching.

to The Community!

The question/controversy/issue surrounding the "upside down flag" on the early 10$ notes has been around for 50+ years. I remember hearing about it when I was a youngster. It resurfaces every few years here on CCF, other currency forums and newspaper articles.

The answer is still the same. It is not an engraving error! It adds no addition value! If you like it, then keep it!

Please show a photo of the entire bill for context. I see nothing here that is unusual.

With respect, one of the dumbest threads I've ever encountered on this forum.

They're all like that. The flag is waving. It's not upside down. You can tell by the stripes.

Of course it is; but whenever new, uninformed "collectors" show up and ask a question about it we answer the question the best we diplomatically can and move on.

Chances are pretty good that in a few weeks/months/years someone else will inevitably run across another similar pre-nextgen sawbuck, see the flag and ask the same darn question about it.

It is a question that's been around over 50 years and ain't gonna die off anytime soon. It just shows the staying power and impact that US currency has on people here in the US and around the world.
