I have looked at WELL over a million Lincolns and this is my first 82P DDO find. A later die stage than the listing. Pretty happy with it and found it just shortly after finding my first 83P DDR, which I will post after I get it cleaned up a bit. cc link https://coppercoins.com/lincoln/die...ie_state=mds Thanks for looking. Jon. ADDED: I am second guessing my attribution. I felt that the "LIBERTY" locked this one in but now I'm not sure it is the cc listing. I do feel it is a DDO though. -makecents-

Thanks, guys! John1, it just seems crazy, how tough they are to find, I've never understood it. With the lack of others posting them, leads me to think the 82 DDO's are somewhat rare?

I am second guessing my attribution. I felt that the "LIBERTY" locked this one in but now I'm not sure it is the cc listing. I do feel it is a DDO though. Maybe Tanman will chime in with some thoughts. The cc listing shows a misaligned die and mine does not, along with markers no showing, I think I am wrong.

Definitely a DDO. Is that some secondary doubling inside the top of GOD? Personally, this is a tough year to attribute. I think there are more minor ones out there than the ones listed.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I think they are different, now that you questioned it. Your coin shows polishing lines under the 'G' of God while CC's does not, and CC's shows a polishing line inside the 8, while your s does not.. In addition, CC's shows some polishing lines above and between the letters of God and yours does not.
These polishing lines are nice die markers that show some minor differences.
Maybe yours is an undiscovered one..

A little of bit of thickness on IGWT and LIBERTY is pretty normal on the large date 1982s in my experience. I think some of the DDO listings for the year maybe shouldn't have been listed.
