Used my free grading certificate from HSN for this one, sent it off today. The pictures don't show it, but there's some traces of wheat lines. Have fun with this one!

I would grade this as AG-3.

I think this one would go Fine. I wouldn't be surprised if they go below F12, maybe as low as VG8 but on actual wear my guess is F15.

Since the picture doesn't show it well, I'll add that you can see the traces of the wheat kernels in both stalks and about 10% of the lines. The rims are complete on both sides. The obverse rim is actually very nice too.
This coin was given to me by my grandfather, he's owned it since the 50's.

This coin was given to me by my grandfather, he's owned it since the 50's I still see some of the lettering touching the rim at places on the reverse. But since this is getting such higher guesses, I tend to think that we should be surprised at the grade it will get. I am going to just raise my guess to VG-8 to an misgraded VG-10 tops. I don't think it should do any better. If the date were a 1919 I think that it would get G-4 period, but since it is a rare coin and for the date it has it's own weak characteristics, I think that they might be a little more forgiving and liberal on the grade. Betcha it comes back VG-8 and you did a good thing for yourself and the value for getting it graded. PS: I deleted my other post with a slightly lower grade, so not to be wishy washy.

OK, 8.....no 3......NO aaaaaaaa 10......no no no 15..... alright 12, my final answer. Hey nothing wrong with being confused. I really think you would have to have this one in hand to get it right. The pics are just hiding too much. Jim - Good luck with the grade, Thad.

Good guesses! I'm hoping for VG-8/10, because of the complete rims, outline of wheat grains and a few lines, but it could go G-4/6.

Based on the pictures I would say G4 but with your added info I will say G6
I still have a hard time distinguishing between worn dies VS wear on the coin, especially without seeing the coin in hand.

Based on your input about the rims and the wheat detail, I am going with... VG-8. Good luck.

VG10 is my guess taking into account what the coin is.

I'll go VG-8 on this one. Was a weak strike year anyway and probably hard to find one with much detail. I am learning the Lincoln cents and am glad I finally started collecting them a couple years back.

DANG IT! Realized I could check the status online, I just checked their website....boy, did I have this coin wrong. I thought it was die pair 4, there's NO trace of a D at all. Oh well:
Weak D, Die Pair 1 VG-8
