Dirt find, fairly confident it would straight grade and might even squeak into XF. That said, VV lists FS-504 as extremely rare (?) however sales figures seem to suggest otherwise. I don't think an ANACS spend for attribution is even worth it. 99% on attribution call - would appreciate confirmation.

That looks like the correct (normal) orientation to me. The flat termination is on the bottom. Lower S curve is a keyhole. Top S inner curve is a square cut with a triangular notch cut into the body. Thinnest part connects the top S curve to the knob S. The top termination is enlongated relative to the bottom termination, and has a rounded end.

What I believe to be an FS-504 inverted knob-S mint mark:

Dang Nabbit - I didn't drill into the VV link, I just looked at the MM shown to the left and assumed that was it. Thanks BM

To my old half-blind eyes, the normal MM looks like the inverted on - wider on top than the bottom.

Very nice find for a metal detecting find. Congrats.

I just noticed how the over polished die eliminated the bridge of her nose.
