1879 P Morgan Dollar Strange Obverse Patina Outline? Or Am I Completely Imagining This?

Roma2021 Pillar of the Community Italy 1130 Posts	Posted 07/23/2024 4:59 pm Hello everyone, I am in the u.s. for two weeks and heading back to Rome on Thursday. I went through some coins that are here - none of these are mine but ended up in a box in the house accumulated over many years - this Morgan looks to have an outline in patina of Nebraska? Iowa? Or is this like seeing Elvis on toast or a Chevy in a cloud? A complete fabrication of my mind? Tell me, please, if I am crazy. I fully understand that the coin is low grade, bullion (I sold a lot of Morgan and peace this trip) so I am not under any impression this coin has value beyond x. Report this Post to the Staff
