I absolutely love this coin. Only thing is, it is hard to see the details because it is "black." I know silver turns black sometimes, but how did this coin come to be this way. Any flowing hair dollar is precious, just wish the details stood out more. I like dirt on my coins. Also it is plugged and can only be seen with a loop, old decent plug job if you ask me. Hey, I'd be happy to have it, certainly much better than mine. Looks like a good plug job at E in Liberty if my eyes don't deceive me.

Yes a very pleasing repair. Is the scratch on the obv on the coin or on the slab? I'm hoping that it is on the slab.

Nice coin! Excellent plug job, too! I wouldn't be ashamed if it were mine.

@.coin_coin_guy.."I know silver turns black sometimes, but how did this coin come to be this way..."
...Exposure to fumes from furniture polish is one way to turn silver black. I learned this the hard way, storing & displaying some nice silver coins in a wooden display table. From time to time, I'd use a particular wood polish & restore product on the table, & boy did those once lustrous coins turn dark ...

Everyone seems to love this coin, but the images are too dark to see much of anything to my eyes,
