Have a couple gold coins but they are holdered. Wanted something I could actually handle and saw this one on ebay and it had some verdigris. Received the coin and gave it a quick acetone dip, and then some spot Verdi Care work with a thorn from my citrus tree. The verdigris flaked off with very little effort. Pretty happy with the results. The first two pics are the sellers, and the second two are mine. The coin looks exactly the same as I received it except now no verdigris.

Nice. Obverse scratch is distracting. Still a cool one, and nice restoration. I like the S mints for this series. This might straight grade.

Thanks. Yea, I didn't buy it for condition, just a little diversification. Scratch doesn't bother me.

Well done - and nice in-focus photos as well.

You could improve already impressive photos by tightening the crop.

Yea, thought about cropping and my old brain was happy just to get the photos to post under 300kb.

Great job on removing the verdis. Just goes to show you that copper even in a minimal blend can still be affected.

nice job! Good to see you post an e-bay buy. Remember when you and I were bidding against each other on large cents years ago? E-bay is not the same anymore.
