Since CoinFacts only lists an FS-501 RPM, would they still slab/attribute it listing an 005 for the variety #? Or would I be wasting my money getting it attributed with them and have a better chance with NGC doing the attribution?
This coin has a shot at a 63 and do you think the retail price showing on CoinFacts would be comparable for this particular variety although it's a different RPM?
I didn't know there was a formal term for that phenomenon, but I can confirm that I have seen that thin edge on many Mercury dimes in the WWII era. Sometimes it is also visible on WWII vintage nickels, both cupronickel and War Nickel composition.
