Does this coin have hub doubling DDO on the profile of the face?

Also, is this a RPM?

Since CoinFacts only lists an FS-501 RPM, would they still slab/attribute it listing an 005 for the variety #? Or would I be wasting my money getting it attributed with them and have a better chance with NGC doing the attribution?

This coin has a shot at a 63 and do you think the retail price showing on CoinFacts would be comparable for this particular variety although it's a different RPM?

RPM-005 is FS-501: http://www.varietyvista.com/06%20Me...2DRPM005.htm

You shouldn't have a problem getting PCGS or NGC to label this one correctly.

Anyone wanting to see how far up the profile of the face doubling extends toward the crown, should check out these shots in the grading forum:

Looks correct for RPM designation. Not seeing DDO.
Grade wise I would call this one AU surface, picture out of focus.

Nice find on the RPM! I think what you have on the profile is "channeling", common during this timeline.

I didn't know there was a formal term for that phenomenon, but I can confirm that I have seen that thin edge on many Mercury dimes in the WWII era. Sometimes it is also visible on WWII vintage nickels, both cupronickel and War Nickel composition.
