re cut or doubling under the1 7 1 of date, To the East of 71 ( with notching on upper right of the 7 ), West of mid 7 and south or lower 19. What do you think. Thanks, Frank B.

Frank, the majority of what I see looks like remnants from polishing but the "notching" at the northeast corner of the 7 is interesting.

That split seems distinct enough that I'd try submitting it as a discovery coin for a DDO.

Leaning towards a polishing issue, similar to a trail die. Possibility it is a minor DDO though.
