Looks like gouge or a hit mark. The hit above it on the 2 matches with shadow and alignment.

Hi, I see the hit. Good observation. Here is a pic of the 2 over 1 but without a hit North on the 2 ( Different coin pic. same thing going on in the 2x2 ) Thanks, Frank B.

I'm in with die gouge or possibly a clash remnant. I'm not sure why you need conformation if you are going to go ahead and list it

They didn't reuse dies in 1962.
