CoinHI Pillar of the Community United States 2731 Posts	Posted 09/30/2024 5:21 pm I finally got a hold of some old BU tubes to look through and had a couple nice finds. Two of these tubes rolls were triple wrapped (paper, foil, & plastic) and dated 1964 so I knew they were likely not looked at since then. One was a 1958 P and boy was I fired up to find a DDO-001 but of course I didn't. The second roll was where this coin came from, 1954-S. I found several of these BIE's, Several RPM-005's, and a few nice clashes which I'll post later. Seeker_101 Pillar of the Community United States 1791 Posts	Posted 09/30/2024 5:45 pm Very nice BIE! I had picked up a couple of BU rolls from different places and was disappointed with both. The first was 1964 that someone assembled as a BU roll but not quite. I don't think it was the place I got it from because the tube was sealed with an old label saying 90¢. The other was 1958 D in a bank roll that I could tell had been opened and gone through. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm sure the vast majority of tubes have been searched multiple times but as I opened this one, every layer was disintegrating with every pull. I had probably 30 pieces of plastic wrap and foil and paper when I was done which made me think it hadn't been opened since the date written on the old paper.
