Well that is kinda cool. I'll be on the lookout for one. Hopefully at 50k they won't be too difficult to come by after things cool down.

I believe there are 500k of them (lowest mintage known for bullion) and that label is for the first 50k now if you are ok with MS69, I was able to get one on ebay (free ship/no sales tax) with the Eighth Era label for $60 via best offer.

Quote: I believe there are 500k of them (lowest mintage known for bullion) Some sort of context is needed here. You must be speaking of this particular coin, the star privy. There are bullion ASEs which are rarer. The advantage to this ASE is you know the mint facility without it being slabbed and we should have a pretty definite idea of the mintage when it's all over.

Will pick up a "raw" one when I can. Above example is MS69 in a standard NGC holder. ETA: Ungraded examples are popping up on ebay now. A large NC-based seller has them on "pre-sale" for $48 with an estimated ship date of 12/16/24. . .as Gilly and others have noted, there will be plenty of these available via the secondary market for years to come.

For those interested in this coin, Nice Gang is coming out with another coin collaboration to be released Spring 2025. If you play the game they have a season 1 token for $30 which sells on ebay for $100. "For players who missed out, stay tuned! The next coin in this groundbreaking collaboration is coming Spring 2025." https://www.nicegang.com/collectibles

Very nice, cptbilly. So far I've received a few NGC ASE Gem Uncirculated Star Privy and a few BU bullion also with star. I have some CAC and PCGS MS-70 ASEs with star on order. I think the interest in this coin has been slow at first but I also think that with the worldwide popularity of the ASE and the low mintage number it won't be long before people are scrambling to make sure they get theirs.

I don't see 500,000 as being a low mintage number. . .

Quote: I don't see 500,000 as being a low mintage number. . . But yet people are going crazy over the almost 37 Million 2024 P nickels and the almost 33 Million 2024 D nickels that were minted calling that run "LOW" (and even "scarce" depending on which articles you read).

Quote: I don't see 500,000 as being a low mintage number. . . It really isn't. Compared to other bullion, your could say it's comparatively rare. To me it's mostly a "slab and pony" show. I got one graded one, the first one, my FOMO moment. Recently bought a raw one for the box.
