I traded a minor DDR for three broad struck cents that included this 1980. I really like the "flared" rim on this one. I think it would be considered off center.. Thank you for looking.

Thanks.. It's bigger than a normal cent and slightly smaller than a nickel. I'm gonna have to do a bit more research on partial collar vs broad struck. The other two have the same flared rim.

Here's what I have found when doing a bit of research on broad struck verses partial collar strike. The broad struck is the result a missing collar resulting in a more centered and larger overall coin. The partial is caused by either a broken collar or misalignment of the planchet or the collar causing metal flow or "flare" as shown in the photos. I'm not good at putting my words on paper.
