That would make sense. I had a brief notion that it looked almost like a strike-through error, if the event damaged the die instead of the coin.

Picked up a second example from the same seller for three bucks. Always nice to have a pair of oddities, that they might be studied and compared. =)

Very nice Brandmeister!!

The hair in photos happen a lot to me, and after I realized I have to take the pic again

For some reason I like that line on the head, but was taking about the one in Jefferson bust? Is that a hair too?

It's definitely a felt thread. After months of use, the black felt backing of my little photo box is getting fuzzy. You can often see little black hairs along the borders of the coins in my photos.
