Today the teller at a bank branch that previously never has had any half dollars told me he had $44 in half dollars that a customer had sealed in a large envelope -- usually a good indication I will find some silver. Indeed, that envelope contained seven 40% silver Kennedy half dollars (a troy ounce). Earlier in the day, I found three silver dimes in a customer-wrapped roll I acquired at a different bank. This is the first time I've found that many silver dimes in a roll with a modern wrapper. It may be part of a collection dump because the 1963 Roosevelt dime in in uncirculated condition, and the 1943 Mercury dime (which still exhibits some original luster) is in better condition than the equivalent coin I collected >55 years ago.
