Just my opinion, 1st the Westward journey Nickel did not get the recognition it truly deserves, it might some day. also the 2009's LC'S from the U S Mint just yesterday sold for almost $80.00, this is NOT what I would call a lower premium than issue price just yet, it was higher, but now still holding nicely.
Also the 2009's ( all coinage) IMHO, will bring a nice premium for years to come for many reasons, more than I will mention, 1st supply and demand, someone is Hoarding these coins by the truck-load, also there must be floor-boards bending in a lot of bank vaults somewhere.
I feel that when and if the hoarded coins are released to the general public, prices will come down a little( bank wrapped rolls), as for the U S Mint wrapped rolls, they will retain their premium, I feel because the "mintage" the LP1 had 96,000 sets, NO MORE, all gone... This IMO, makes this set a nice collectible to have in your collection.
I do not even care to venture a guess on the LP2 sets, I feel, if the Mint is smart they will produce more sets this time around, why, because the old "supply and demand", if people are willing to buy these coins for what ever price, this to me, makes these collectible, again, just my opinion......

The 1968 s Lincoln Cent averages $1.00 to $4.00 for 1 cent after 41 years in circulation and the 2009 zincolns will sell for that much through out the next 41 years here's proof number dont lie http://coins.shop.ebay.com/items/_W...osacat=11116

I don't think the link proves your point. In the two pages of auctions shown the HIGHEST price I see paid for an Unc business strike 68-S is 11 cents (Unc bank wrapped roll for $5.50) with most of them in the 2 to 4 cent range.

A bank I go to once a week for a box of halves, had rolls of 'P' Log Cabins mixed in with regular cents. I don't know how many she really had, but she said no one was asking for them, and let me have 20 rolls.

Has anyone else come across rolls yet?

I have not asked for any "regular" Cent rolls. But I have asked all over town about "the new Lincolns" and of course got a resounding "NO"......and "We won't be getting any either"

Got lucky this morning just doing my weekly $50 in pennies search. Walked up to the teller asked for 2 $25 boxes gave her cash and walked out. Took a quick peek on my way out and... Both boxes are 2009 P Log Cabins. Complete luck I know but these guys are going in the safe.

That is a very nice find! Great pictures up there Moe, thanks for sharing those. I've yet to master taking proper pictures of my coins but I'm working on it.
