Silver-colored, but unlikely to be silver. It is a surface discoloration, perhaps from mercury. This coin didn't leave the mint with that so it counts as damage though.

Trebest70.. You might want to take a look at the reverse again. I can't tell for sure by looking at you photos, but if the dots between EPU are elongated, you may have a DDR
