I don't know if there is a premium on OC strikes, I just enjoy the hunt.

There is a premium for them. I don't really follow the market on errors, but some dates sell for more than others, chiefly because there have been more found for some dates and far fewer for others.

Nice red, dated examples are usually worth around $5 or so. The more recent ones sell for more since they are rarer due to the Mint's new method of distribution. Around 2001/2002 the Mint switched over to shipping massive ballistic pallets of coins to the armored carriers for rolling so the main method for the public receiving errors(canvas bank bags) has now disappeared.

2003 and later are much rarer, mint processes were heavily revised in 2003 in an attempt to eliminate errors.

Placing newly minted coins in ballistic crates started in 2002. I was still buying mint sealed canvas bags in 2001.
