Any idea what this coin is? I found it not too long ago in a random nickel roll.

Yes, US roll hunting--over time--can yield a number of world coins, and tokens too.

I think it's a Thailand 1 Baht (2018-2024). Keith's link is to a 5 Satang, which is smaller than a US cent, and the coin pictured has a 1 for denomination. The 1 Baht is 20 mm diameter, while a nickel is 21.21 mm. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces138316.html

You might get a buck or two for it on ebay.

On current exchange rates, 1 Thai baht equals about 3 US cents, so "face value equivalent" won't get you much.
Thai coins may not be commonly encountered in the US, but they're quite common "tourist coins" here in Australia. Not only is Thailand a popular tourist destination in its own right, but Bangkok is a popular layover stop for Australians travelling to Europe or the Middle East.
I can;t quite read the date in the OP pic, but this coin is quite modern - the king depicted is Rama X Vajiralongkorn, who only became king in 2016. Most of the Thai coins you encounter at random are likely to be those of his father, Rama IX Bhumibol, who reigned a long time (1946-2016).

Would rather have a legit world coin fall out of a roll than a tarnished washer...
